Course description
ORC organises a series of lectures, with the aim to improve your understanding of the modern organic chemistry and its interconnections with neighboring disciplines. Lectures (2-3 hours each) will be given on a monthly basis, and the materials for pre-lecture preparation will be provided a week in advance. The full 1-year course of 7 lectures is equal to 2.1 ECTS credits. PhD students from ORC have to attend the course in their PhD years 1-3, while other VLAG students can attend selected lectures and get 0.3 ECTS/lecture, if the pre-lecture preparation was done.
Course materials vary with each session. The main Advanced Organic Chemistry course textbook is The Art of Writing Reasonable Organic Reaction Mechanisms (Grossman)
